During the run up to Christmas 2007, the Hillary’s group of websites were promoted via a very large email marketing campaign. The two main eCommerce websites, www.hilarys.co.uk and www.web-blinds.com, were promoted to not only the full database of customers but through carefully purchased email lists of thrid party suppliers. As this was the first time that the Hilary’s websites had ran an email marketing campaign, I was assigned to test the campaigns before the Christmas period. After producing a successful test campaign to 40,000 emails, the Christmas campaign was set for a run of over a 500,000 emails.
In addition to the email marketing campaign, I also managed the media agencies to run PPC campaigns, Display Advertising and incentivised Affiliates to produce a record number of sales. In particular, the Web Blinds website achieved record sales for the fourth quarter of 2007.
Email Marketing produced:
- return on investment of over 200% for Web Blinds alone
- record sales through all websites
- growth in eCommerce sales to become the main revenue stream of the Hillarys group.
